Jello Writing

For Chrsitian's letter writing today I gave him some Jello and told him to write the letters X, C, and O in the Jello.  At first he just looked at me with a dazed look..."Your really going to let me play in Jello?"  Was the look on his face.  Once I showed what to do and licked my finger he got a huge smile on his face.  The activity lasted a good 30 minutes and when he was finished he had had a fun snack as well.

Family Reunion Session

My friend that I take wedding pictures with was unable to take pictures for a family reunion that she had scheduled so she asked if I would mind doing it.  The family was tons of fun and there were tons of them!  One couple, 12 of their own kids, and their families = lots of people!

Back To School @ Home

Here we go!  Back to School Day for our homeschool!!!

Christian, age 4

Christian is so excited this year!  This should be his Pre-K year but he is so ready for school that we are doing Kindergarten.  Kindergarten?  Really?  YES, REALLY!!  I can't believe it but here we go!!

Brogan, age 7

Here is our BIG 3rd grader!!  Did I just type that?  Third grade?!  Seems like just yesterday she was hanging out up at the school while I was volunteering up there.  Now she is starting cursive, Latin and the hard world of third grade.  She is super excited!  Not really, but she is ready for some science and Latin to begin so here we go!!

And here is my little pre-schooler!  He will be doing phonics and some pre-math with us but that is about it for now.  I just couldn't help but add him to our post though.  He just too cute afterall!!

Back To School @ AOA

Joshua, Codey and Jeremy started back to school today at Alpha!! 

Christian and Rylen were up and just had to get a picture with everyone going back to school.

I can't believe it.  We were so busy this summer with all of the kids different activities that it flew by so fast.  The 2010-2011 (WOW!  That sounds C-R-A-Z-Y!!!) is off to a full start! 

Joshua is a FRESHMAN!  The small underclassman in a vast sea of high schoolers.  I can't believe he is starting his high school journey.  He was telling me the other day his top 3 college picks.  What craziness?!

Codey has gone back to Alpha this year after spending two years at home with me.  He is so excited!  Not because he is leaving me mind you, but because he is back with his besties on a daily basis.  He said he isn't nervous "AT ALL MOM.  Now leave me alone."  A 7th grader?!  Another WOW!!!

Jeremy is starting back officially today as well only this year is may be a challenge for him.  Not only is he teaching his 6th graders but he has been given the role of Atheletic Director as well.  BIG shoes, A LOT of time, LESS time with the family at home and MORE time with us up at the school in the evenings.  All in all I am happy he decided to do it.  I think he will be able to make a difference and be a positive example for the parents and students.  I am so proud of him!

Matagorda Bay

We spent a fun weekend with some friends at their house in Matagorda.  The kids loved the water amd the boys even went out fishing early one morning.  It was a fun and relaxing weekend!

The older kids did a scavenger hunt on the beach and a little bit of geo-caching so Rylen and Christian played a little...
