Bluebonnets
We took pictures in the bluebonnets Sunday after church. This was our first time to do so since Joshua and Codey were little. Everyone had to pick their favorite spots after we did the group photos.
Everyone with Daddy.
(Can we ever get just one with everyone looking where they should and with no tongues out? Maybe in another 15 years! Of course it had to be our only darling little girl doing it! Think she got it from her brothers?)
Brogan picks her spot (and pose).
Rylen just enjoying it. He loved playing with the bluebonnets!

Christian handsome as always.
Joshua chillin' in a sea of blue.
Codey stylin'.
Brogan's First Horse Lesson
Brogan had her first horse lesson on Monday and had a great time! She has been asking for a horse for a couple of years now so we told her she had to learn about horses first. She has ridden a few times but this is the first time that she is learning about the responsibility of keeping a horse.
Here is a picture of her on Baby
with her teacher, Rachel.
She learned how to walk around a horse
and where their tickle spot is.

Learning how to put a halter on.
Leading by herself.
Riding bareback.
She said that was the part that was "most fun".
Is there a future here?
Maybe there is Hope!
Sometimes as a mom I wonder if anything I am doing is really making a difference, especially when it comes to Brogan and Codey getting along and being nice to each other. Well, the other day I had a glimmer of hope! Brogan and Christian wanted to go in the backyard to play baseball. Codey, hearing baseball, asked if he could pitch them some balls for them to hit. I thought that with Codey out there there would surely be arguing within 5 minutes. To my surprise they were out there for over an hour with NO arguing!

I watched them from the window with a smile as Joshua and Codey both helped Brogan and Christian with their stance as they were batting and fielding, and thought to myself "this IS working and there IS hope!". I took these pictures from the window inside the house so as not to disturb the bonding that was going on. I tried to call Jeremy while I was in the moment but couldn't get him. They were so cute!

Rylen wanted to get in on the action but I wouldn't let him outside.
Here he is with Christian's batbag.
Helping Daddy Out
Jeremy got a splinter when he slipped carrying Rylen up the hill in the bluebonnets. The kids thought they would help him get it out.
Joshua gets a first look.
Codey thinks they need more light.
Brogan gets a look.
Think we have a future surgeon on our hands?
PS: Christian didn't really hurt him he was just acting for the camera

Chatting with Codey...
Here I am with some BIG Bass that I caught at the pond by our house. I went to help a neighbor do something (Momma said be back in 30-40 minutes) and got sidetracked fishing (I was actually gone about an 1 1/2 hours. Oops!). Daddy showed me how to skin and filet them. Now next time I am lost in the wilderness I will ba able to take care of myself. Momma said she would cook them up for us tomorrow. YUMMY!!
Had ball practice today. Hit a homerun and
the groove!
I Love You Nonna & Poppy! Have an awesome, totally rad, overdosed on sugar week (Poppy you may have to sneak the sugar!)!
Chat some more next week!

Joshua's New Room
We finally moved everyone's rooms around and Codey and I got our own rooms back. Yippee!!! Here is what MY room looks like now that I have everything put back together. It's about time I have my own freedom and privacy back! By the way...I still have to let the little ones in...every now and then. :[

Trying It On For Size
Baseball season is up and running for us and this year everyone that is eligible is playing. Yep...That means four ball teams all at the same time! Brogan is playing softball this year (her first) and her little brothers had to make sure her equipment will stand the test. They had a blast "trying it on for size"!
