Sweet 16

This guy...

Is 16!!!!!!

Definetly NOT the 6 lbs 15 oz, 19 1/2" baby boy I held in my arms at 10:20 pm on June 2, 1998!

Now he is a handsome young man who love Jesus, his friends, serving , baseball and having fun.

Love you #35!!!

Mustang baseball 2014

MtB Baseball this year was "More than Baseball" by all sense of the term.  It was a year of ups and downs for the boys, coaches and parents but they pulled through and became a tighter knit team because of it.  Here are just a few pics of my #35...

And a few from the End of Year Ceremony......

MtB Baseball

More than Baseball.  That is the focus of the baseball team that Codey is playing with this year.  The Mustangs take pride in not only coaching baseball to these young men but also developing their character on and off of the field.

Codey has really enjoyed being on the team and, even though he has sat through a lot of games, he said he has learned more this year than in any year past.  And, by the way, he has done awesome when he has played!!

Warrior Baseball

Codey is on a new baseball team and this weekend I was able to make it to a game.  Finally!  The boys worked hard and played hard.  It was a back and forth game the whole time.  In the end they lost by one run.  They have many more games to come.

Gotta have some fun in the stands while the game is going on...

End of 1st Quarter- AOA

Well, the 1st Quarter has ended for AOA.  Jeremy has survived his dual roles as 6th grade teacher and Athletic Director and has made some good strides in turning some things around.  Codey has managed to survive being back in school with his peers without me being too hard on him or getting too upset.  He is in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, on the student Council and is looking forward to trying out for basketball in the next couple of weeks.  While he has some things to improve on, I am glad of the transition that he has made back to "school life".  Joshua, well, he has continued his goal of making all A's throughout his schooling career.  He is particpating in Interact and Fellowship of Christian Athletes this year.  He also ran cross-country for the first time and is trying out for basketball.  During this busy quarter he also spent seven weeks rehearsing and performing in "To Kill A Mockingbird" with Huntsville Community Theatre.  He has done a great job!  They all have!  So proud of my boys!!!

Camp UHBC: Under the Sea

Camp UHBC: Under the Sea in 3D was this week at University Heights. Brogan and Codey went and had a great time. This event is a Vacation Bible School for school age kids with a twist...all the kids in grades 1-6 learn a musical or play in 4 days and perform it for their parents on Friday night. It has been a fun event that
the kids look forward to each summer!

Codey and his friends...the B-I-G 6th graders!! These guys, and 1 gal, were in a seafood eating challenge that included raw fish, frog legs, sardines and anchovies. They were great sports! I didn't hang out to much in that class well, because, you, know, Codey is a c-o-o-l cat and having his mom around taking pictures was kinda NOT c-o-o-l. He did let me snap a few though!

Brogan had a good time, but she always does. She knew all of the songs the first night! We had to listen to that cd I don't how many times that 1st day. I do know that it was enough for Rylen to know some of them so that should tell you something! She loves hanging out with her friends, music and performing, and learning God's word so this was a fun week for her!

WCFA Rabbit Show

This was our first year to raise animals for 4H and Codey wanted to do rabbits. So, with that came lots of stuff we didn't expect and a lot of new experiences. All in all it was a fun endeavor for the family. Codey showed his rabbits at our county fair and did AWESOME for his first year!! He placed 15th, just high enough to sale in the Premium Auction!

Here is Codey's cheering section.  His would-be class from Alpha Omega came over to support him and he had fun with him being there.  Nonna and Tim came to cheer him on also.  There he is also at the Premium Sale waiting to see how much his rabbits brought in.

He did so well that Brogan is ready to go for next year! We are in the process of building a rabbit barn for the multitude of rabbits we are about to have and hopefully it will become a successful little side business for the kids. We are looking forward to our future in rabbits!

Codey & Rylen

Codey was playing so well with Rylen when I took these pictures.  It makes a Momma proud when they are getting along this well.
(Even though it is most of the time still wish it could be all of the time!)
