Reevaluating

I was chatting with our exchange student Sunday night and she said her mom was looking at the blog and really liked it.  I told her how old those posts were and that I hadn't really kept up with it.  That got me to thinking and I took a look back at memory lane.  It also made me really sad as I realized that I stopped keeping track of our family at about the same time I started working a "part-time" job.  While I love what I do and why I do it, I have realized more and more lately that I am giving more to it than I am to my family and THAT makes me sad.

I missed keeping the memories of Codey and Brogan's senior year.  I missed Codey's baseball seasons and Brogan's soccer seasons.  I missed Brogan and Christian raising their heifers and Rylen trying new things like sewing, hip hop and Junior Master Gardeners.  I missed Joshua's year at TAMU and his Air Force graduation.  I missed Brogan's freshman year at NWOSU and giving them heck on the college soccer field.  I missed the chronicles of our previous exchange students and all the kid's friends along the way.

This year is over half over (gasp!) but my resolution is to keep track of the memories, no matter how small.

I encourage you to take a quick inventory and reflect on what your last half of 2021 is going to be like.  I'd love to hear!

2021...It’s a New Year!

2020 was a doozy for some. For us, it was mostly routine with the exception of a couple of months of baseball being cancelled. As we ring in a new year I pray that if 2020 was not your year that 2021 will be better. All I know is that God does have a plan and we are looking forward to seeing how it unfolds.
