California trip

This past week I chaperoned one of our ASSE student fieldtrips to California.  The students were amazing and they were able to see and do so much.  I would highly recommend any exchange student and their host siblings, if possible, take advantage of these awesome trips.

Rogue 1

Christian has been dying to see the new Star Wars movie, Rogue 1.  I told him if he could pay for his ticket we could go.  Of course, Rylen jumped in there also so we made an afternoon out of it and to my surprise, it was a pretty good movie.

Ice Skating Fun

Today we went ice skating with our homeschool group.  It has been a loooong time since I have skated and the kids have only been one other time so it was a fun outing!

Before we got there we had to fuel up on Chick-fil-A, of course! 

At least we were completing our assignment for the day :)

 

 

 

B brought along her best bud Bailey and the boys had friends there as well.

 

 

All and all it was a great outing!!

Jump Jump HOORAY

The kids have really been wanting a trampoline but we just haven't been able to get them one. I went out on a limb and asked some friends that don't have any Littles anymore if they would be interested in selling theirs and they were sweet enough to gift us theirs.  It ended up being our family Christmas gift this year.

 

The big boys brought it over last night and assembled it while the little guys were asleep. This morning they woke up and were super excited to see it in the backyard.

 

 

I see lots of fun in our future.

Muddy Soccer Fun

Brogan is constantly asking if someone will go out and play soccer with her.  She never tires of practicing and playing.  So when the rain was over and I turned her down, her brothers were there to play with her.

Jeremy kicked balls into one of them while they tried to score on the other two. 

They had a blast playing and it made it even better to know there was mud involved.  Siblings make the best friends....and teammates!!

Welcome 2017

 

This year we said Good-bye to 2016 and welcomed 2017 with some fun and friends.  Food, fireworks, board games, conversation, basketball and a laid back night was enjoyed by all.

 

 

I think this may be a new tradition!

 

 

 

Last year I said was I was going to blog more but that didn't happen.  Well, I actually blogged more than I did in 2015 but not as much as I wanted.  This year I am going to try #365in2017 .  A post a day to capture our year. 

Hopefully I can stick with it!
