Daddy Daughter Date

~So, yes, that middle picture is priceless~

She is just a little bit sassy.  He is just a little bit wrapped around her finger.
Together they are the best father/daughter combo there is.

I wasn't home when they left but I made sure to get some pictures when they got home (thus, it being so dark) and the results are priceless.  Love these two!

TAPPS State Baseball Semi-Finals

The AOA baseball team made it to TAAPS state for the first time in three years.  They knew they would have a tough game in the first round against Shiner St. Paul to get to the finals.  These wer the two best teams in the tourney and they ended up playing each other in the first round.

The Lions lost but played with heart.  Way to go guys!!

It sure is tough...

Last night Codey and Brogan were fighting over who was going to put on Jeremy's socks and shoes so they could go get some movies.

Guess who won?!

Neither, they each took a foot but that face is priceless!

Special Note: No one has ever argued over who is going to put my shoes on. I don't know what that says, but I do know that I don't have stinky feet so that can not be the problem. We will just leave it at that!

Father Daughter Banquet

Our church had their annual Father Daughter Banquet tonight and Jeremy and Brogan were so excited to be going!  They were even more excited than they were last year!!  Brogan actually wore a girly, frilly dress, which is so unusual for her, and she was excited beyond measure.  Of course, she did have to get new shoes for it so it made it all that much better.  She looked so beautiful....

The entire time I was doing her hair, and a little bit of make-up, I just kept forseeing 20 years from now (hopefully, at least!) on her special day.  She was so excited, I think I already said that, and couldn't stop talking about the evening.  Jeremy was excited too.  He was excited for their dance together (another 20 years or so moment) and had to wear just the right thing.  They are a beautiful pair...

As they were getting ready, and I was taking the pictures, I couldn't help but think of how much I miss my Daddy.  I couldn't help but think of the Homecoming and Prom pictures we took together and that evening at my wedding.  Oh, how I miss him so very much.  I am so blessed to have a daddy for my daughter that mirrors mine so much.  They are two great men!

Lion Baseball

Alpha Omega Lion Varsity Baseball Team

Jeremy helps coach the varsity baseball team at Alpha Omega and it such a blessing for him to be around these kids and, I'm glad he can be there to be such a godly example to them as well.  Codey is not playing baseball this year but has instead decided to hang out with Jeremy and the team and workout with them.  He also gets to be one of the batboys for the team.  We are in the middle of the season and it is going great...Keep it up Lions!!

Homemade Biscuits

Jeremy was home yesterday for Labor Day holiday and he started the day off running with cleaning and baking. He and the boys started a brunch of biscuits, sausage and eggs. These weren't your average biscuits, they were homemade. Codey and Joshua made the batter and everyone pitched in cutting the biscuits in to fun shapes. (Thanks, Vone for the cookie cutters!)
Here is the finished product, before and after baking.
Way to go guys! And, thanks Daddy! They tasted G-R-E-A-T!!!

Delicious Dinner

Jeremy made an awesome dinner Sunday with some fresh shrimp that Codey got from a neighbor of ours. He skewered the shrimp with some veggies and we served it with a side of fettucini alfredo. It was YUMMY!!
I'm thinking he needs to do the cooking more often!!

Helping Daddy Out

Jeremy got a splinter when he slipped carrying Rylen up the hill in the bluebonnets. The kids thought they would help him get it out.

Joshua gets a first look.

Codey thinks they need more light.

Brogan gets a look.

Think we have a future surgeon on our hands?

PS: Christian didn't really hurt him he was just acting for the camera
