Brogan wanted to have pretzels and dipping sauces at her birthday party so we asked the pretzel place to take the birthday party there. They loved the idea and said yes so we took the girls there. They got to learn how to make pretzels and they made their own pretzels. They had a great time!!
The comings and goings of the Royal Court of Winston Manor. Royal in the sense that Jesus is our King. We serve a mighty God and our purpose is to raise life-long warriors for His name. Follow us in our journey, pray with us and for us along the way. Let us know what you think and how we can pray for you as we all follow along this path of life.

See You at the Pole
Today was "See You at the Pole" nationally. As homeschoolers we don't have a traditional school to go to so we gathered on the lawn of the courthouse to pray. It was the first time we have done this in our community and we were excited about the turn out!

1st game, 1st win!
This is a new season for Brogan's soccer team as they had to make a choice on which new league they wanted to play in. As a team we decided to leave the league we played under last year and try to go independent. With that, came a choice of where to play and who to play under. We decided to play up a division. With this we knew the kids would have a challenge ahead of them. They are playing u13 (the kids on our team range in age from 9-12) and play up into a higher division. We went into today just hoping they would play hard and learn some things along the way. They played hard and in the end....

On the job training
Christian has been wanting to earn some money so he asked Uncle Rusty if he could help him at the restaurant. They went through some negotiations and Christian now has a steady job. He has been folding take out boxes, sweeping the floors, refilling shakers and today he got to mix the meat. He is so excited to go to work on days that he is scheduled and they say he is a great worker. Proud that he is motivated enough to seek it out on his own and then do it right!

It's Friends Like These
That I'm thankful that my big boys have.
And servant minded peers like these
That are out at 7:00 am on a Saturday because they want to be. I'm thankful for their like mindedness.
Thank you, Lord for pouring out blessings on our children!
Full Day
Today was a full day!
First, Our youth group had its annual "Incoming 7th grader" day. Brogan is moving up this year so it was her turn to participate. She is so excited to be "official" in the youth group. She has been in there with me for the last couple of years but hasn't been able to participate in the extra events. Now, she is ready to be 100% a part of the group! Her and her friends had a blast today...

Chick-fil-A cow
We always enjoy Chick-fil-A. Everything about the franchise is right on par. Their food is great, the atmosphere is perfect and their customer service is always awesome.
We don't have one here but the one we visit was giving away mini cows to anyone that wanted one. Once you got your cow you were to take a picture while on vacation and send it in. The three younger ones all got a cow so they could take pictures with it but Rylen was the only one that followed through. He was so excited! As soon as he got it he saw a police officer in the parking lot and asked if he could take a picture with him. We told him he would have to ask the officer himself and, HE DID!! The officer said "Are you sure that's what you want to do?" And when Ry said yes he said "Okay buddy" and got out of his car for the picture. It was so sweet.

Soccer is a girl's best friend
Did we ever end because somehow I don't remember a break?!
After the season ending in May we played a tournament then went right into camp in Bryan for the month of June. July began practices and try outs for the Fall season and today we had our first scrimmage for the Fall.
Baseball may have me in a hurried tissy for 3 months but soccer has me going steadily all year long. And, the thing is, they never tire of any of it. In fact, they are constantly outside throwing, hitting and kicking.
Brogan's team is preparing to move up to u13. They will be a young team (a few 10 yr olds, mostly 11 year olds like B, and a couple of 12 year olds) but they held their own tonight against another u13 team from Willis. She loves the sport and is looking forward to the upcoming season!
Last 1st tooth
Well, the "firsts" are slowly ticking away. Today Ry lost his 1st tooth!!
He was so excited! It's been wiggling for a few days now. We were hoping it would come out before daddy left but it didn't come out until this afternoon. The first thing he wanted to do was take a picture and send it to Jeremy so we did. The next thing he wanted was...
To get his first $1 for his first tooth. He didn't have to ask because I have had it waiting for him :)
Happy sad day...getting down to the last of the firsts with this little guy growing up!

Everyone had a fun time and believe it or not Rylen actually had the top score one round. It was a great day as a family!

Youth Week
This week was Youth Week at church. The theme was "Stand Out". The kids always look forward to a fun-filled week and 6 Flags day. This year Joshua and Codey were part of the wRECing Crew (Rec Leaders with cool names) and Brogan was "officially" participating. They had a blast!
Here is our 6 Flags day...

Astors vs Red Sox
We had fun watching the ball game last night but the big boys didn't want to be seen with us because of our shirts...

Father Son Fish Fry
Jeremy was out of town for the Father Son Fish Fry at church. The boys really wanted to go but didn't want to ask someone to take them. Mr Buell from our Sunday school class asked me if the boys wanted to go and offered to take them. They jumped at the chance and had a great time. I'm so thankful for Godly men that step in and love on our boys when Jeremy is away.

Amarillo 2014
Headed to Amarillo for our annual mission trip to work with Mission Amarillo. So many look forward to this trip and pray for the work that is being done there all year long. We are taking a group of 70 plus and have collected 74 pairs of shoes to be distributed. Praying God uses us for his glory!
