Brogan is constantly asking if someone will go out and play soccer with her. She never tires of practicing and playing. So when the rain was over and I turned her down, her brothers were there to play with her.
Jeremy kicked balls into one of them while they tried to score on the other two.
They had a blast playing and it made it even better to know there was mud involved. Siblings make the best friends....and teammates!!

B finished up her first Junior High soccer team this week. It was a fun experience for her and a great way to keep in shape during her regular off-season.
Way to go, Hurricanes!

1st game, 1st win!
This is a new season for Brogan's soccer team as they had to make a choice on which new league they wanted to play in. As a team we decided to leave the league we played under last year and try to go independent. With that, came a choice of where to play and who to play under. We decided to play up a division. With this we knew the kids would have a challenge ahead of them. They are playing u13 (the kids on our team range in age from 9-12) and play up into a higher division. We went into today just hoping they would play hard and learn some things along the way. They played hard and in the end....

Soccer is a girl's best friend
Did we ever end because somehow I don't remember a break?!
After the season ending in May we played a tournament then went right into camp in Bryan for the month of June. July began practices and try outs for the Fall season and today we had our first scrimmage for the Fall.
Baseball may have me in a hurried tissy for 3 months but soccer has me going steadily all year long. And, the thing is, they never tire of any of it. In fact, they are constantly outside throwing, hitting and kicking.
Brogan's team is preparing to move up to u13. They will be a young team (a few 10 yr olds, mostly 11 year olds like B, and a couple of 12 year olds) but they held their own tonight against another u13 team from Willis. She loves the sport and is looking forward to the upcoming season!

Madisonville Tourney
The Eclipse had a looooong day at the Madisonville Tourney yesterday. It started bright and early at 8:30 and we didn't leave the field until 5:00. Brogan's team placed 3rd overall.

Mustang baseball 2014
MtB Baseball this year was "More than Baseball" by all sense of the term. It was a year of ups and downs for the boys, coaches and parents but they pulled through and became a tighter knit team because of it. Here are just a few pics of my #35...
And a few from the End of Year Ceremony......

Florida Vacation & Homeschool World Series
Once again this year we made the trip to Florida for the Homeschool World Series. We planned a few fun stops along the way so that the littles would have something other than baseball to look forward to while we were there...
First up was Pensacola Beach on the way to get Daddy from the airport. The kids loved the beach and the stay over for the night!
After we got Daddy we made our way to Clearwater Beach and the Clearwater Aquarium. We were able to see "Winter" the dolphin (Dolphin Tale movie), go on a science trip with a marine biologist and watch her log ocean animals that are in Clearwater Bay. The kids had a great time seeing some animals that they have never seen or touched before! They experienced hurricane strength winds, saw Winter and her prothstetic tale, touched sting rays and so much more!
On our day off from the HWS we went to watch the Lakeland Flying Tigers play the Cubs. They are both minor league teams and we had a great time at the game. Yes, more baseball, and it was hot (so the kids say) but we still had fun.
The HWS was fun this year and the team played some good games (and some not so good games). Codey is already having withdraws and it has only been a week.

Golf 2013
All of the kids, with the exception of Codey, took golf lessons this Fall. I wasn't to sure how Rylen would do since it is a very quiet and slow moving and requires quite a bit of attention but he really enjoyed it. And, even though he was the youngest of the group, he won 2 out of 4 in the contests that they had to see who could hit the farthest. Christian won one and another boy won one. They all want to continue in the Spring so that is a pretty good sign :)
Dean is the golf pro at Raven's Nest. I'm sure there were times he wondered what he had gotten himself into! He was great with the kids and even printed them up certificates for their last lesson.
Joshua is the main reason we started golf. While I don't have any pictures of him (you know, I wouldn't want to cramp his style or anything) I have to say that he has improved a ton over the last few months. He is excited about the Spring when he can do a few tournaments.

Soccer Mom
Soccer is in full swing and Codey has pleaded with me to NOT turn into a soccer mom but it seems that I may not have much control over that. We have always been a baseball family up until now but the littles are living and loving the world-wide game of futball!
They have all had their first games and they are loving it!
After Brogan's first tournament we went to Jump Sky High and the kiddos had a blast! They didn't win but she played her heart out and had some awesome plays!
Christian and Rylen had their first games and both of them won. They were super excited and both scored multiple times!
The season is just now getting underway and we are living and loving life on the road! (All except my gas bill!)

MtB Baseball
More than Baseball. That is the focus of the baseball team that Codey is playing with this year. The Mustangs take pride in not only coaching baseball to these young men but also developing their character on and off of the field.
Codey has really enjoyed being on the team and, even though he has sat through a lot of games, he said he has learned more this year than in any year past. And, by the way, he has done awesome when he has played!!

Upward
Christian played basketball for the first time this year. As always, we chose Upward as they have a great program.
Christian's coach quit after the first practice and they were in need for someone to step up. one of the parents would do it so Joshua stepped up to the plate. He is an awesome big brother for doing so and he did a great job with the kids!

Florida Vacation
Our first family vacation (other than camping trips) was planned around a trip that we had to take for the Homeschool World Series. Codey's baseball team was competing so we thought we would make a fun and educational trip out of the experience. Here is a look at the stops along the way...
Mobile, Alabama: USS Alabama Battleship & Submarine
The Hungry Owl as seen on "Man vs. Eats"- Jeremy ordered the burger that was uggested from the show and ate every mouthwatering bite
LegoLand
Daytona Beach
Homeschool World Series: There were 25 teams from 10 states. The team placed 14th overall, 6th in their division.

Soccer Tourney
Brogan had a soccer tournament this weekend. They were her last games of the season and she played awesome. She is a real player. We would have never known it but she has a natural ability to play and has a lot of people looking at her. Way to go, Triple P!!!!
