***S*N*O*W***

We had snow again!  The second time in one winter and this time it was lots more and fell for longer.  The kids couldn't wait for Joshua to get home so they could go play in it.  (I am such a bad mom.  I made them wait to go out in it so they could all have fun together.)  They had a blast!  A close friend of ours called and said we just had to go up to their land and play in the snow.  They are just 7 miles north of us so Codey and Jeremy wanted to know why we had to go and how did I know they had more snow than we did.  Well, when we got up there they did have more snow and lots of it!  The kids a blast, again!!  Once we got home we had steamy, hot veggie soup and then did an off-night family night with a movie, popcorn, hot chocolate and a campout in the living room.  Jeremy and Joshua did not have to be to school until 9:30 the next morning so it was perfect!

Hospitality House

I have been helping with our Kids for Christ group at church one week a month and our emphasis on those nights has been on missions.  We have been talking and learning about missionaries and mission opportunities local, here in the US and abroad.  In January we took a field trip to the Hospitality House.  It is a place where families of men incarcerated can stay for a couple of days while they are visiting them in prison.  We took 42 kids with us to learn about the services they provide and help with some projects.  They did a great job and even asked if they could come back another time!  We had a blast and helped out too.  That is what we are trying to teach them it is all about!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful that I have the opportunity to choose to give my children the best education for them.  They are each unique creations from the Lord and deserve what is best for them as individuals.  Thank you God for giving me the chance and choice.  Thank you Jeremy for giving our family this opportunity.  Thank you kiddos for putting up with your mom each day, all day, and still loving me.  I am thankful for each of YOU!!
