One Hungry Boy

I walked into the kitchen this afternoon and found this...

Christian was making himself a peanut butter sandwich.  When I asked him what he was doing he said "I'm hungry and I'm making a sandwich and I'm doing it all by myself 'cause I'm a big boy."  He must have been really hungry!

I guess he is right-HE is NOT a kid, HE IS a BIG BOY!!

Extreme Service: Lexington Center Visit

Brogan has been participating in Extreme Wednedays at the new church we have been visiting, Fellowship of Huntsville.  They have a great Wednesday night program!  Right now the kids are studying the book of Job and every few weeks they do a service project within the community.  The first service project was to visit The Lexington Center.  The Lexington is an assisted living center where we went to sing songs, recite verses and play Bingo with the residents.  The kids even had the opportunity to ask the residents what life was like when they were kids.  They were fascinated to find out that some of them grew up without radio, tv or telephones!  They all did a great job visiting, sharing, learning and listening!

Ready for his own baseball...

Christian asked today, like he does everyday, to wear his baseball clothes and today I said "Yes" even though we weren't going to anyone's game.  So, Rylen dressed himself in his baseball clothes since that is what his big brother wearing.  And, THIS is the GREAT job that HE did...all by himself!

And this is what it looks like when he says "That's enough, Mom!"  (AND, he is only 2!)

Girl's Day @ the Astros Game

We had a fun Girl's Day Out at the Astros Game this weekend with Mom and Anita.  Brogan got some neat little souvenires and we had some fun just hanging out together.

Giaccamo and Jacob ended up having tickets to the game also and they happened to be just a few rows in front of.  Brogan and Jacob had fun being together and playing around also.

Folk Festival

The annual Sam Houston Folk Festival was this past Friday and, like always, the kids had a great time.  I didn't get many pictures this year but I did catch Rylen and Christian playing the part with their new guns.

2 Peas In a Pod

This week has been beautiful!!

The kids have been playing outside from the time they wake up until I have them come in for lunch. After lunch it has been another 45 minutes outside before rest time. Only for them to wake-up and head back outside...

Christian and Rylen have been playing so well together lately. It is like Christian finally understands everything Rylen is saying. Rylen actually wants to play with Christian and has gotten the whole "pretend" thing down to a science. He actually plays along now instead of getting upset that Christian is calling him something else. It has been so much fun to watch them hang out together. It reminds me of Joshua and Codey when they were these ages. So fun!

Lion Baseball Play-Off

The final AOA home baseball game of the season was this Saturday. We had to get there early so Jeremy could help get the field set up so Rylen and Christian "helped" him also. They had so much fun being on the field...

They played on the tractor...

Helped Daddy stripe the field...

Pretended to pitch...

And hit...

And then we finally got to watch the game...
