Cinderella Practice

Brogan watched every practice and performance of Joshua's when he did "To Kill A Mockingbird" this past Fall and fell in love with the idea of doing a play herself.  So, she auditioned for a role in the Huntsville Community Theatres production of "Cinderella".  She kept saying she wanted to be a mouse.  Boy, what high aspirations, right!?  Well, believe it or not, she got a part!  And the part she got..drum roll please...A MOUSE!!  They have been practicing and their parts are starting to come together.  The best part...she loves it and is having a blast!

Upward Awards

Brogan had her Upward Awards this weekend and had afun time with her teammates and coach.  It was a great season of basketball!  Thank you First Baptist Church for always doing a great job with this program!

1st Piano Lessons

Ok, so, Brogan has been asking to take piano lessons for 2 years now and I haven't been able to find someone that would come to the house without paying out the wazoo.  That is until I heard that this young lady plays beautiful piano and asked her what she thought about giving lessons.

She is a homeschooled high school student so it works perfect for her to come to the house, during the day, and teach Brogan and Christian.  She is getting experience in teaching and they are getting lessons.  Yes, we do pay her, just not an arm and a leg, and she is making some extra dough.  They have had 2 lessons and she is great with them!

Brogan has been practicing on her own for 30-40 minutes a day and is picking it up quickly.  Christian is taking a little longer but Brogan has been very good at sitting with him while he practices and helping.  I can't wait to see how they progress!

DNow

Our Youth groups Disciple Now weekend wasthis past weekend.  Our family hosted and transported Junior High girls. Brogan had a blast hanging out with them and having a house full of girls.  They were so great and included her in everything they did.   They are such a great group of young ladies!

Upward

Brogan decided she wanted to try her hand at basketball so we are into another year of Upward.  I though we were done for awhile since Joshua and Codey aged out but nope, she wanted to play.  She has been doing A.W.E.S.O.M.E.!!!  They are matched up against someone of the same ability so it makes for fair and good competition.  All of Brogan's match ups have been, of course, twice her size but she hangs in there and is T-U-F-F on defense.  She even scored her first basket this past weekend!

Art Class

I enrolled Rylen & Christian in a Mommy & Me art class this past Fall and they had a blast.  Tonia was great with the kids and really knew her art so it is very edcational also.  Brogan was even able to participate as extra space and material allowed.

Valentine's Day Party

We celebrated Valentine's Day with our local Homeschool group and the kids had a blast!
