It hasn't rained here in forever. Literally, forever it seems. Each time there is a little rain in town it has bypassed us and we haven't recieved a drop of it. Until last nighth and today that is. There was a thunderstorm that came thru. It stormed most of the night and rained into the early part of the day. The kids loved playing out the rain! It had been soooo long!
The comings and goings of the Royal Court of Winston Manor. Royal in the sense that Jesus is our King. We serve a mighty God and our purpose is to raise life-long warriors for His name. Follow us in our journey, pray with us and for us along the way. Let us know what you think and how we can pray for you as we all follow along this path of life.

MTM is back!
Muffin Tin Monday is back here at Winston Manor...
This week wasn't anything special but the kids were super excited to have it back. I hope to be able to coordinate MTM with Rylen and Christian's school lessons. Either way, there is just something fun about eating out of a muffin tin that makes Mondays so much brighter!
(And, yeah, those are my toes and they would feel a little brighter if they had had a pedi lately, but who has the time? I'd rather be with Jeremy & my kiddos!)

Indescribable
Brogan and Joshua auditioned for parts in an independent film titled "Indescribable". It is based on a true story and set in the 1920's. We spent parts of the summer on 4 different sets for their scenes. They had a blast filming but both decided they like stage better than film. There was to much sitting around on the set for them. They would rather have the live action!
Here are some quick photos from the sets:

Fort Parker State Park
We took a short drive over to Mexia to Fort Parker State Park. We had never been there before and with gas prices rising we thought it would be a quick weekend get-away. The park is very small and quiet. There was only hiking and canoeing to do there in the park but the surrounding town and the park itself have a ton of Texas history. So, we took in some of the historic sites and learned about the Commanche Indians, Cynthia Ann Parker and the insuing raid that went on. The kids even got into the history which is always a good thing! I very highly reecommend this park for a quick weekend get-away if you don't mind small and quiet! Here is a quick slide show of our weekend...

Xtreme Hospitality
The kids group at church went to visit the Hospitality House this week. Most of them had never heard about the House or its purpose. It was great to see them interested in the history of the house and eager to serve...
