The comings and goings of the Royal Court of Winston Manor. Royal in the sense that Jesus is our King. We serve a mighty God and our purpose is to raise life-long warriors for His name. Follow us in our journey, pray with us and for us along the way. Let us know what you think and how we can pray for you as we all follow along this path of life.

Field Day
Field day for the kiddos was AWESOME!!! Joshua, Codey & Jeremy even helped out with the events so it was a family affair this year :D
MtB Baseball
More than Baseball. That is the focus of the baseball team that Codey is playing with this year. The Mustangs take pride in not only coaching baseball to these young men but also developing their character on and off of the field.
Codey has really enjoyed being on the team and, even though he has sat through a lot of games, he said he has learned more this year than in any year past. And, by the way, he has done awesome when he has played!!

Upward
Christian played basketball for the first time this year. As always, we chose Upward as they have a great program.
Christian's coach quit after the first practice and they were in need for someone to step up. one of the parents would do it so Joshua stepped up to the plate. He is an awesome big brother for doing so and he did a great job with the kids!

Florida Vacation
Our first family vacation (other than camping trips) was planned around a trip that we had to take for the Homeschool World Series. Codey's baseball team was competing so we thought we would make a fun and educational trip out of the experience. Here is a look at the stops along the way...
Mobile, Alabama: USS Alabama Battleship & Submarine
The Hungry Owl as seen on "Man vs. Eats"- Jeremy ordered the burger that was uggested from the show and ate every mouthwatering bite
LegoLand
Daytona Beach
Homeschool World Series: There were 25 teams from 10 states. The team placed 14th overall, 6th in their division.

Huntsville Youth Leadership Institute
This year Joshua was chose as the only homeschool student in the area to be a part of the Huntsville Youth Leadership Institute. It is a program that the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce has restarted after 20 years. It gives the students an opportunity to tour college campusses (Sam Houston State University) and visit with department heads and admission counselors. It also gives them insights into interview processes, leadership events and events within the community. This wa something right up Joshua's ally and he had a great time being a part of it!
There was an award ceremony at this month's City Council meeting for all of the attendees...

We are so proud of Joshua and his induction into the National Homeschool Honor Society!!!
He doesn't see what the big deal is but we have assured him that it is a big deal.
Way to go, Bossman!!
