Louisiana Friends

We spent the weekend in Lousiana with some our besties just hanging out and relaxing.  It was a weekend filled with yummy food (thanks to the Russ-man) and great friends.  Can't beat that!!

Here are the kiddos hamming it up...

Jennifer was so sweet and got Jeremy a cake to celebrate his new position of Athletic Director...

These must be snapshots by one of the kiddos...
King of the Kitchen...Mr. Russ-man, himself.

I had to post since noone ever sees me.  And, yes, there is a reason for that!

Praying

I don't know why I didn't post this picure earlier.  It was taken back in February and some how I just overlooked it.  I found it while I was going thru my folders looking for the pictures to update the posts from this summer.

He is so pure, fresh, and faithful.  I caught him praying over his breakfast all by himself.  Selfishly I don't pray over breakfast with my kids.  I know I should but most days it is just easier for them to get their breakfast and sit down and eat on their own since they all have different times they get up and get going.  Usually the mornings are so hussle and bussle that it is just easier to make sure everyone is ready to start their day by 8:30.  After finding this picture I just might start back to making a full breakfast and having everyone eat together.  We'll see!

Happy 175th Birthday Huntsville

Well, the older kids are at camp this week so we decided to take Christian and Rylen to the Square here in Huntsville to celebrate the city's 175th birthday.  There wasn't a big to-do by some cities standards but the boys had fun with what was there.  They even got to go eat Mr. Gatti's pizza when it was over and play a few games...Thanks to Mrs. McKenzie!!

We got to see a parade...

And see real Army men and get in their trucks...

And we got our faces painted...

HERO VBS

This week Brogan, Rylen and Christian were HEROES at Vacation Bible School at Fellowship of Huntsville. They had a great time learning the songs, doing the crafts and activities, and being with their friends.

H-E-R-O God is our Hero!!!

Birthday Party at Mickey D's

Christian went to a birthday party at McDonald's the other day.  We had never been to one there but I would have to say that it was a great idea.  They played the entire time, no complaining about what to do next, and there was no clean-up on the mom's parts.  Couldn't ask for an easier party if you ask me!

Forest Glen

The kids went to Forest Glen Christian Camp this past week and had lots of fun.  Their website didn't have as many pictures as the camp that they went to the week before but I was able to find a few of Codey and Brogan.  Brogan won the limbo contest on the first night!  Joshua was at the Counselor Training program and they didn't put their pictres on the website.  He said he had lots of fun though!
