A family mission trip has been a dream of mine for the past few years. One that all 7 of us can go on and participate in without leaving anyone at home due to their age. Brogan and I, would love to go to Africa or Russia to visit with and minister to the orphans, and while I think Joshua and Codey would like to on some days, I know Jeremy doesn't feel like that his call. He would rather us spend time here in the U.S. ministering to those who need us here. And, while it still is a dream of mine for the family to serve together, I feel like we have made it one step closer.
This summer Joshua, Codey and I got to go with our church to Amarillo. We spent a week ministering to refugees living in apartment communities all over the city. Imagine that...ministering to the world...right here in Texas!!! Boy, does God know how to show us His desires for us or what!?!
The students were able to get in a little fun with some of the youth from Colter Road Baptist Church in the evenings. Dodgeball was fast, furious and serious business!
There is a lovely family who was evry gracious enough to make sure we had plenty eat the entire week. They even treated the whole group to some YUMMY Thai food!
