Field Day

Okay, so this post is finally finished! Field day was on May 19 and I am just now finishing the post. I didn't realize how many pictures I had taken and then once I started the post I didn't realize how many I wanted to keep. All said and done...I think it is a fun rememberance of the great day the kids had. There isn't much that they ask to do again but this was one of them! I hope you enjoy the post as much as we enjoyed the day. And, as much as I am to be finished with it!!
We went to a Homeschool Field Day for the end of the school year and the kids had a blast! There were approxiametly 75-80 kids and they split them all up into age groups and had them compete in a variety of different games and activities. It was so neat to see them with other kids their ages, that they didn't know, and having a great time. All of the kids did great and got awards for participating. This is where we were at...
These are some of the other competitors...Just kidding! There is a petting zoo there and some of the animals got out and were roaming around. Christian had so much fun trying to catch the goats and Rylen just laughed at the goats and the chickens every time he saw them.
These are the real competitors!
Just some zip line fun during our lunch break
A look at Brogan's day...She was the only girl in her group. Needless to say, she hung in there and had a blast. I guess she was used to being the only girl!
A look at Christian's day...They had a great time with their fun and games!
A look at Codey's day...He was put into the group with the 11 year olds even though he is 10. I was a little worried if he would have fun not knowing anyone and if he would do okay in the competitions. I don't know why I worried, he did great in both areas!
A look at Joshua's day...I didn't really know how Joshua was doing all day. Every time I went over to take some pictures and check on him he kinda ignored me. I got the hint that he was having fun and maybe too cool for mom to be around. I'm glad he had a good time!
Rylen even got to have some fun!
Every boy needs a tractor!
Going for a drive...
Never mind, I'll just push!
Digging for gold...then trading it in for candy.
Awards, Awards, Awards!!
Christian's Awards: They all received a Participation Ribbon, I Did My Best Ribbon and a Medal!
Brogan's Awards: 1st place in the Putt-Putt Open with a Hole in One!, 2nd place in the Bullseye Archery and Hoop it Up Free Throws, 3rd place in the Scuba Run and 50-Yard Dash
Codey's Awards: 1st place in the Long Jump, Hoop It Up Free Throws and Splash Olympics, 2nd place in the Football Frenzy, 50-yard Dash and Bullseye Archery
Joshua's Awards: 1st place in the Bullseye Archery and Putt-Putt Open with a Hole in One!, 2nd place in the Checkered Flag Races, Sand Trap and Splash Olympics, 3rd place in the Football Frenzy

Everyone had a great day and they can't wait for next year!!
