This past week our church hosted Vacation Bible School with a fresh new twist. They called it Camp UHBC Parablelooza! Throughout the week the kids learned the parables of Jesus and songs to go along with them. To reinforce the parables and give them meaning and life applications there were games to reinforce them also. Games like "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire", "Deal or No Deal", "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?", and more. The finale on Sunday evening was a live unscripted game show and musical all rolled into one. The kids had so much fun and did such a great job. Thanks so much to the UHBC staff and volunteers. Your hard work makes a difference!!
A Huge thanks to one of Codey's leaders, Garrett. Most of these pictures are ones that he took, hence they are mostly of Codey. Truth is, mom can't be everywhere and most of the time I didn't have my camera anyway. I did manage to snap a few though.
Friday afternoon was a day of outdoor water fun. The kids had a blast and it was a great relief from the heat!
What a great time! I have never been to a VBS. I think my children are too young right now. I will definitely have to check it out in a couple of years though.
